Train Tickets to London

Since 2 Jan 2010, you can use an Oyster card (pay as you go) on nearly all of London’s commuter train services (zones 1-9). See the Oyster website for full details.

Railcards and Rail Passes

Several different types of card are available offering up to a third off train fares:

  • Young Persons (aged 16-25) £26
  • Family and Friends Railcard (up to 4 adults and 4 children aged 5-15) £26
  • Senior Railcard (aged 60+) £26
  • Network Railcard (off-peak services in South East England) £25
  • Disabled Persons Railcard (disabled people and their carers) £18

International visitors can purchase a BritRail Pass, which gives you the freedom to travel on all National Rail services for a set period of time. Note: BritRail Passes will only be available if you’re accessing the BritRail website from outside the UK.
